Although the photo suggests otherwise, Max almost never sleeps on our bed. If either my wife Terry or I am gone overnight then he will sleep with the remaining solitary soul. He does enjoy sleeping under our bed at the head board.

Just before I slide my feet under the covers each night I take off my shirt and throw it across the room onto the swivel rocker. Max strolls over, grabs the shirt in his teeth and takes it under the bed with him. I am always touched that he wants to sleep with something that smells like me. Every morning I retrieve the shirt from under the bed. During one such retrieval I was surprised to find three of my shirts. Where did he get them? Some great Sheltie mysteries will never be solved. 11/16/14
