Number 239 is an Alco/Cooke 2-6-0 (#39150) built in 1906, ex-AEC 239, nee-ICC 239. It was acquired by the AEC in 1915, transferred to the Alaska Railroad in 1923, rebuilt to 0-6-0 and scrapped in 1947 to Bethlehem Steel, Seattle. This photo was taken in 1910 in Panama, before its days on the Alaska Railroad.
