EMD SW1 ARR 1203 blt 1943 B/N 1990,   former USA 7001.    In service with ARR 1947 retired in 1957 and scrapped.   Photographer unknown.  Photo shows loco after retirement (notice the missing brake beams on the rear truck and hanging brakes on front truck) setting under the bluf at Government Hill in the Anchorage Yard.   Note the ARR lettering instead of the "Alaska Railroad" on other locos of the time.  This is the only photo of #1203 I have seen.   Photo courtesy of Pat Durand
