Four ex US Army GE 45 ton side rod locomotives came to the ARR in February 1974.   They were retired in July 1983.  #7356 was leased to North Pole Refinery for a short time in March 1983.   These locomotives were believed used in Valdez in the Pipe Yard between the dock and pipe coating plant but no photos have come to light yet.   After setting in the scrap line for some time #7324 went to the Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry.   The other three were sold out side of Alaska.
