Art returned on August 13, 1957 and photographed more of the stored locomotives including Pacific #901 and Mikado #702. Not ideal photographic conditions but you must consider the old saying "The weather is shi%#er in Whittier". At the time Art took these photos I was a 6th grader living in Whittier and the log pond at the saw mill and the string of locomotives were favorite play grounds.
