Wayland Ferreira works in the car shop in Fairbanks. He and his associates constructed the first ballast plow car in 2000.  Now he has built a second ballast plow car.  Here is a picture of it just before being put in service while waiting of some last minute decals in roundhouse #3. In March 2002, it is being used down south on the new line change out side of Anchorage along with the first ballast plow car.
