Because its no secret the 3015 is your favorite locomotive I thought you might like to see her naked lol. Just finished an engine and HEP generator rebuild, and it will be going to Fairbanks in the near future for a fresh set of trucks. The entire rebuild required the efforts of all mechanical department crafts. Electricians, machinists, pipe fitters and boiler maker welders.

Front view without the hood. Hood is rigged for lifting and manlift in place to remove the hooks after the hood is in place. View from the rear. Closer view, notice the HEP generator which is unique to the 3013, 3014 and 3015. Lower engine covers are loose to fill with oil and inspect while prelubing engine.

Hood up ready to move into place on the locomotive. Moving the hood requires the use of two cranes and a little coordination of both operators. Hood in place, just need to be set down. Hood down, HEP generator access cover not yet in place.
