A grand and glorious trip like this can only happen with the support from many dedicated and caring people. I want to say a heartfelt thanks to Martha Conlan, Stefanie Coppock, Casey Durand, Shane Durand, Patrick Durand, Victoria Greaens, Steve Katkus, Frank Keller, Jack Klingbeil, Robert Krol, Ryan Rodriguez, Eric Swedberg, Randy Thompson, Greg and Laura White, Ted Woodward, and Bob Yost.

Mary and Henry Krul knocked Terry and I off our feet with tours of Whistle Hill, a wonderful stay at their luxurious home and a hot breakfast at brew@602. Terry and I are forever grateful.

Mike and Moriah Gerenday really made our day by opening up their home to us as well as preparing a huge delicious dinner for "story telling" night. We are very grateful for their Alaskan hospitality.

A special thanks goes to Jim Somerville for picking us up at the airport and loaning us his beloved Honda Pilot during our trip. His steadfast support during each of my trips has touched me beyond words.

Our biggest thanks goes to our dear friends Curt and Renae Rudd. Who in the world would build an extraordinary attached guest apartment for visitors to use? Well, a wonderful couple with hearts as big as all outdoors. We thoroughly enjoyed their bountiful Alaskan dinners! Additionally, an warm and exciting word of thanks to Curt for helping us to make a few critical connections during our trip. Cut and Renae you make our hearts smile!

It has become quite a challenge for me to travel due to my limited mobility. With that said, my wife Terry undergirds me to ensure I can do this trip. None of this would have been possible if not for her limitless energy, "can do" spirit and loving support. I won the lottery when I married her.

And thanks to all those railfans who have given me assistance and kind words of support over the years! You are truly the "wind beneath my wings."
