The third thing you need to do whenever you are in Wasilla is to visit the Alaska Central Railroad, a truly hidden gem! They operate on summer weekends from 10:00am-4:00pm. For a mere $10 you get a 55 minute ride seated on a 7.5 inch gauge train. The scenery is magnificent and the model builders have done a wonderful job with town sets, whimsical displays, bridges and a huge tunnel.

During our last visit Terry expressed interest to the volunteers in having a railcar painted to advertise my website. After returning home, we discussed the financial investment and agreed to take the plunge. So today we stopped in to check out the finished product and it looked great! 7/17/23
