The entire route is a breathtaking scenery extravaganza! Mountains, valleys, waterfalls, gorges, glaciers, tunnels, trestles as well as historical sites provided us with endless photo opportunities (Terry took over 200). The elevation drop from White Pass to Skagway is a startling 2,865 feet and the view from Inspiration Point (shown above) reveals the railroad switchback at bottom left and highway at middle. 6/3/17
